I was born and raised in Croton-on-Hudson, NY, where I first fell in love with the majestic Hudson River. After graduating from Croton-Harmon High School, I received my bachelor’s degree from SUNY – Cortland and paralegal certificate from Mercy College. For the last 26 years, and counting, I have worked as a litigation paralegal in New York City. Now residing in Peekskill, NY, my commute on Metro North’s Hudson line has provided me with much material for my book, Sunsets An Experience. In addition to working in the legal field, I’ve studied photography through Michigan State University’s online platform. I’m also an energy worker certified in Reiki II, Integrated Therapeutic Alignment (ITA) Energy Medicine Tier II. I am also a facilitator of ITA Movement.
My energy practices and photography are a huge part of my process of self-actualization; and all journeys of self-actualization are healing ones. One of the greatest lessons of such a process is to live from the present because it is truly the only real moment. As a Reiki practitioner, the practice of this gentle energy healing method helps me reconnect with God. As I heal through presence and this profound spiritual connection, I have become more confident, living in Divine Light and Love.
I have always connected with God and the Universe through a deep love of animals and nature. Animals and nature live in the present moment. I’ve been fortunate to not only use Reiki for my own healing, but also to help animals as well. I work with cats, dogs and horses, sharing unconditional love, aiding both of us in our healing process. Through these beautiful creatures I’ve learned to give and receive unconditionally which can only be done by being present.
Likewise, nature has been a major part of my healing journey. I use the practice of energy awareness and mindfulness to create stunning images from a unique perspective. I have collected a tapestry of rich images that touch the soul and lift the spirit. Photography has taught me to be present, to be the silent, unattached observer and experience God’s gift of unconditional love through such indescribable beauty. My photographs hold space for viewers to be present and use the images as meditative, healing tools to get what is needed from them in the moment.
Through learning experiences and formal training, I practice Reiki, Animal Reiki, and ITA Energy Medicine with compassion, empathy, gratitude and humility while providing a safe environment for clients to tap into their own healing power and presence.
